TRAVEL

Seville is a popular tourist destination in Southern Spain. Several flights and trains (AVE, similar to French TGV) connect Seville to other Spanish locations (including  important airport hubs such as Madrid, Barcelona or Málaga) and the rest of Europe. The city has an extensive public transportation system, walkable distances and is plenty of taxis around. It is also bike friendly, with a very large bike lane network. Buses number 3, 6 and 34 have stops just in front of the venue building (Pabellon de Mexico, Paseo de las Delicias (without number, at the corner with Av. Eritaña). Hotel Silken Al Andalus and Residencia Estanislao del Campo are connected with the conference venue and the city centre by buses number 3 and 34.

The Seville airport is connected with the city center by means of a bus service. There are several stops in the city centre. If you go to Hotel Silken Al Andalus or Residencia Estanislao del Campo get down at "Avenida Carlos V" (ask for "Prado" stop) and then take bus 34. The airport bus service is active every day of the week (since about 05:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; check the detailed timetable in bus service). A single journey ticket costs €4 , and a return ticket costs €6. The buses are stamped with the letters ‘EA’ in blue.

Regulated taxis also operate from the airport. A standard fare applies for airport travels (the fare depends on the time of day). The average taxi fare from the airport to the city centre ranges from €20–30. Please bear in mind that not all taxis take credit cards and if they do there might be a charge.
